IMPROVING YOUR EBAY REPUTATION CAN IMPROVE YOUR SALES

Posted by ebayprofitmaster on March 9, 2010

Without your eBay reputation you have absolutely nothing. It’s worth more than any sale you could ever hope to make.

Consider how you tend to shop when you buy items on eBay. What do you do and how do you feel? You look for sellers with good feedback to buy from, and you feel uneasy buying from those with low feedback ratings. When you purchase something from a PowerSeller you feel very comfortable – in fact you don’t even think about what you are doing you feel just as you do when you purchase something from a physical shop.

Having a Bad Reputation Will definitely lose You Sales, its common human nature. You would often rather buy the same item at a higher price from a seller with good feedback, than buy it cheaper from someone with a bad reputation. If you do receive negative feedback, then you have to see that comment right at the very top of your feedback list where anyone potential buyer can see it. No one will want to buy from you then, once they see that you have that negative comment.

Your only hope then is to start selling a few very cheap items, simply so that you can quickly move that negative feedback comment further down the page, and hope that potential buyers do not scroll down that far!. It may take ages selling those dirt cheap items in order to get enough positive feedback comments to make potential buyers comfortable dealing with you again.

It becomes far worse than that if you consistently fail to treat your buyers correctly, and several of them leave negative feedback comments – if your feedback rating drops below 90% positive, you are completely invisible – as far as anyone ever buying from you again. Yes you could simply open up another account. there is nothing stopping you having two eBay accounts (or more, with different email addresses, and maybe just using one for buying and one for selling is a good idea) But you would have to start all over again from the very beginning in order to build your positive eBay feedback back up.

It is just easier to treat your customers fairly, the way you would like to be treated, first as last!

Improving your eBay reputation is the only thing that will increase eBay sales. Potential buyers are simply more inclined to trust, believe and purchase from a powerseller with very high feedback, than a seller with low feedback or a bad reputation. Even if they sell an item which seems too good to be true for some reason, they are more likely to sell it due to their good reputation. They are unlikely to want to lose their good reputation by not selling the item they promise.

By Improving your eBay reputation you will find it much easier to sell on eBay, and the only way that you can get a good reputation is by making sure you keep your customers happy. But obviously there are some customers who you can never please no matter what you do, or at least it feels that way sometimes.

That is why next time I would like to discuss if “the eBay customer is always right”

I am always happy to recommend other peoples quality ebay related products, so with that in mind:
